Hi {{first_name|there}},

In case you missed the last couple of emails: I am hosting a small group trip to Patagonia, and bookings opened this morning.

It is eight days, 20 to 27 January 2028, across Argentina and Chile. We start in El Calafate and see the Perito Moreno Glacier from a boat and then from the walkways. Then El Chaltén, the small mountain town under Fitz Roy, with two free days. Then we cross into Chile for Torres del Paine and a full day's walk to Base Las Torres, the lake under the three granite towers.

TrovaTrip runs the bookings, and a local trip team handles the guiding and the logistics on the ground. I am the host. I will be walking with you, and I will help everyone get ready at home first.

The main details:

  • Eight days and seven hotel nights, with a local guide throughout. The group is 8 to 20 people.

  • US$3,699 per person for the first eight travellers, then US$3,899. The first eight is the advertised early-bird allocation, not a live count of places left.

  • A 25% deposit books your place. At the early-bird price, before add-ons, that is US$924.75. The balance is due on 22 October 2027.

  • Seven breakfasts, two dinners and a packed lunch on the Base Las Torres day are included. A second packed lunch comes with the paid optional Laguna de los Tres hike.

  • Flights, airport transfers, insurance and the optional activities cost extra.

Be honest with yourself about the walking. The trip is rated Challenge. Base Las Torres is included and it is a big day: about 18 km (11 miles) with 915 m (3,000 ft) of climbing. I made Laguna de los Tres optional because it is a longer day again and it will not suit everyone. I plan to do it myself, if the conditions and the local guide's advice allow.

This will be my first visit to Patagonia. So rather than guess, I have written a practical FAQ for anyone thinking about coming. It covers booking with a partner, cancellations, insurance, hotels and luggage, fitness and the optional activities, and it has a map of where we will be.

If you book, your confirmation and payment emails will come from TrovaTrip, not from me. If you have a question about the trip, reply to this email and I will answer it.

Cheers,
Mowser
